Mobility Job Board Edition!
Heya friends, happy Monday!
I promised an edition a couple weeks back about open roles within the mobility sector, and I am excited to share it out today. Jobs are listed out below by industry!
Please note, I can’t confirm that each and every company is full of Genuinely Nice People™️ but where I know people at the company, I’ve flagged it and you’re welcome to reach out and I’d be happy to introduce you to the nice folks I do know!

Transit!!
Swiftly: The connected transit platform is hiring roles across multiple teams including customer success, engineering, and sales. [Sent along by my friend Chris!]
Token Transit: Wonderful friends over at Token Transit are hiring two role engineering roles, and I can happily vouch for the folks over there who (a) love transit, and (b) have a laid back and balanced work vibe.
Via: Via appears to be hiring for everything, everywhere, all at once. I looked at their job board and just kept scrolling. They have roles open in just about every field imaginable, and across global geographies.
Populus: Populus is reshaping how cities and mobility companies share data. They are hiring across customer success, engineering, growth / business development, marketing, and opeations. [I know some very nice folks here, and happy to make introductions].
MobilityData: Hiring multiple roles including product managers, engineers, and analysts to help standardize data sharing in the mobility sector.
Spare Labs: Spare (based out of Vancouver by fellow UBC grads, yay!) is on a mission to empower local governments to launch scalable, affordable and equitable on-demand mobility services for all. They are hiring lots of roles! Including: customer success, engineering, business development / growth, and product managers! [I know some nice folks here, happy to make intros!].
Public Sector
NACTO’s wonderful job list: God bless the good people of NACTO for creating this comprehensive list of transportation jobs open across the US and Canada. All of the roles focus on transportation and range from planning, engineering, project management, leadership roles, and more!
Transit Talent: Similarly, there is a website I found while trying to pull this list together called “Transit Talent” — now it looks straight out of 2004 design-wise, but the job postings are up to date and they are a-plenty.
~Urbanism~
C40: C40 is a network of ~100 mayors from world-leading cities collaborating to deliver the urgent action needed right now to confront the climate crisis. They are hiring folks to manage their Zero Emission Area, and Inclusive Climate work. Roles are based internationally. [I know Exceptionally Nice People™️ here!]
Project for Public Spaces: An incredible nonprofit out of New York City dedicated to helping people create and sustain public spaces that build strong communities. They are hiring a finance and operations manager!
Shared Use Mobility Center: Based out of Chicago, the Shared Use Mobility Center (SUMC) is full of wonderful, kind, and cool people working towards a future where we reduce single-occupancy vehicles on our roads! They live / eat / breathe shared cars, bikes, and public transport. They are hiring for a couple open roles!
Rocky Mountain Institute: The nonprofit focused on reducing climate change impacts is hiring across the board and all around the world. They are even hiring for a Carbon Free Mobility Principal and I think you should probably apply for that. [I know some absolutely wonderful people here and am happy to make intros!].
Research and Academia
PhD in Multi-Modal Transport Management Strategies: TU Delft is looking for new PhD students who want to study multi-modal transport systems!! Literally a dreamy PhD. [Recommended by AFTR reader Irene!]
Urban Institute: This think tank out of DC is hiring for *a lot* of positions, so if you nerd out on research and urban policy, this might be your jam!
Electric Vehicles
Waeve: Waev Inc. is hiring a Government Sales Manger! They are an electric vehicle pioneer founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM, Taylor-Dunn, and Tiger brands. [Sent along by AFTR reader Paul!]
Consulting
I have to be completely honest, I know very little about transportation consulting (lol), but I do know that it is an entire sector! So happy to share these postings. Most companies have entire job boards for transportation related roles, which is very useful.
WSP: The international consulting confirm is hiring numerous roles across the US and Canada, including a Senior Transportation Planner out of the Bay Area!
AECOM: Hiring all over the world, with a ton of opportunities to project manage some pretty impressive projects.
